For organizations and individuals using or interested in using Scrum to manage and control hardware development. Scrum for Hardware is a Certified Scrum Master class.
Unlike other Certified Scrum Master classes, Scrum for Hardware:
- Is run by trainers with experience from building hardware products.
- Focuses on the special challenges involved in using Scrum for hardware.
- Participants will practice Scrum by solving a real problem and building a solution including hardware.
Scrum for Hardware is based upon a real world problem, participants get to build a product including all its parts, and get knowledge in using Scrum for hardware development guided by trainers with experience of building embedded and hardware products.
You will learn how to use the Scrum framework for hardware product development. Throughout the class you will learn about Scrum through building a hardware product. Together with reflections and discussions we will collaboratively increase your learning.
Participants will learn about:
- The Scrum framework
- Scrum roles
- Artifacts and meetings such as Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Daily Scrum, burn down charts and Retrospective
- Challenges in implementing Scrum. This includes the required discipline and hard work. We will address the specific challenges you will encounter when working according to Scrum in a hardware environment.
In addition, participants will learn how to work as a Scrum Master, learn about facilitation and coaching to be the best possible Scrum Master and being of service to the Development team, the Product Owner and the rest of the organization.

Agile, Lean and Process Improvement are key elements in Arne’s collaboration with the
management teams of his customers. Since 1994 Arne has been working within
consulting, Product Management and Management. He brings with him extensive
experience from Management positions within IT and Telecom.
Arne helps organizations – and the people within – to think for themselves, make their own
decisions and challenge their assumptions.

Arne became a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) in 2008, and is a former Management 3.0
Licensed Trainer, and a Training from the Back of the Room (TBR) Certified Trainer.
In between customer assignments and training classes Arne also is a presenter at
conferences within Agile and Lean.
